The stages behind a market entry brief
A clear sequence for independent retailers commissioning advisory work — so you know what happens between the first call and the handover.
-
Week 0
Enquiry & scope lock
We confirm your trading format, price band, decision deadline, and whether you need a full Market Entry Assessment or a narrower shortlist review. A written scope and fee follow before any field work.
-
Week 1
Materials & visit plan
You share a high-level P&L snapshot, lease drafts if any, and photos of the existing shop floor. We schedule catchment visits for morning, lunch, and late-afternoon windows.
-
Weeks 2–3
Field reading
Advisors walk candidate streets, note neighbouring tenants, and map competitors within the agreed radius. Travel days for regional Western Australia sites are planned into this block.
-
Week 4
Synthesis
Findings become a written brief with a go / pause / reshape recommendation, rent exposure commentary, and an opening calendar outline tied to supplier lead times.
-
Handover
Briefing session
A 90-minute session walks the recommendation with you and any partners. Questions after delivery are welcome within the clarification window noted in your scope.
Ready to commission the next stage?
Most owners begin with the flagship Market Entry Assessment. If addresses are already shortlisted, jump to a Location Shortlist Review.
